You can also visit the NC School Report Cards web site, which gives you average class sizes, average student performance, teacher stats, and reported in-school crimes.

Once you have an idea of how the schools rate, you can compare them to your home search. Property listings in the local Multiple Listing Service show the school district and school into which a home falls. So, you can see which school your child may go to. You can also find homes according to their school assigned school. A listing's school sometimes changes depending on redistricting that may or may not occur between school years.
